DC:DC Converter Design Engineer at Alencon Acquisition Co., LLC, d/b/a Alencon Systems in Hatboro, PA:
- Develop new DC:DC converter designs
- Design new transformers and resonant circuits for new DC:DC converter deployments.
- Supervise the UL certification of new DC:DC converter products.
- Define and test arc fault protection circuits
- Build and test the computer models of future DC:DC converter topologies using Python and MatLAB Simulink.
- Design printed circuit boards using Altium PCB CAD software.
- Investigate control algorithms for stability, response time and robustness.
- Responsible for adherence to utility interconnection standards (UL1741 & IEEE1547), and development, implementation, & testing of controls for the same.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
Two (2) years of relevant experience, including experience designing circuits for high-power, high voltage DC:DC converters, direct experience with certifying DC:DC converter products to UL1741, IEC 62109-1, UL1699B and IEC 61557-8.
