Operations Manager – Power Electronics Manufacturing

We are looking for an experienced Manufacturing Operations Manager to help take us to the next level of growth.

Alencon Systems is a rapidly growing manufacturer of power electronics for the alternative energy field. Our products are applied in fast growing areas including solar, battery energy storage, electric vehicles and fuel cells, among others. Our customers are all leaders in the field of alternative energy including leading utilities, engineering, procurement and construction companies (EPCs), and system integrators. We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager to help take us to the next level of growth.

Major areas of responsibility and tasks:

Manufacturing

- Creating immediate-, medium- and long-term production schedules

- Designing efficient manufacturing work flows

- Working with company management and sales team to communicate and determine accurate delivery times to customers

- Creating and managing production efficiency metrics

- Recruiting and training production personnel

- Working with engineering on new product introduction and planning production for new products

- Creating and overseeing the creation of manufacturing instructions and standard operating procedures

Quality

- Overseeing an overall production quality program

Supply Chain Management

- Supply chain management including vendor selection, qualification and forecasting including P&L responsibility for doing so

Reporting

- Working with management to develop forecasts for purchasing based on sales projections

- Providing adequate cost visualization to management by creating job costing reports on labor and materials

- This is a leadership position and reports directly to the company’s President & CEO.

Requirements

- B.S./M.S. degree in electrical, mechanical, or industrial engineering, accounting, supply chain and/or industrial management or a related field

- 5 – 10 years of demonstrated leadership experience in electronics manufacturing

- U.S. work authorization – we are willing to sponsor

Preferred Qualifications

- Familiarity with power electronics

- Familiarity with electrical design

- MBA – with a focus on supply chain and/or industrial management
